The short version

If you sign up for the newsletter, I keep your email address (and your first name, if you give it) so I can send you the letter. That’s all it’s used for. It’s never sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.

What’s collected when you sign up

  • Your email address.
  • Your first name, if you choose to add it.
  • The page you signed up from, so I know which pieces bring people to the letter.
  • The date and time you signed up.

Sign-ups are received by a small form service run on this website’s own server, then added to the mailing list used to send the letter.

Reading the site

This site doesn’t use cookies, and doesn’t use advertising or social media trackers. There are no embedded videos, maps or comment systems loading from other companies.

How long it’s kept

Your details stay on the list until you unsubscribe. When you do, they’re removed from the list, and the original sign-up record is deleted within 30 days.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe in one click from the bottom of any letter. To see, correct or delete what’s held about you, email [EMAIL].
